Namek Kemal University is a public university established in Tekirdag by Law No. 5467 of March 1, 2006. The university was formed by separating it from the Trakya University campus and creating a new university.
Namik Kemal University also includes 10 faculties, 3 higher institutes, 3 schools, 11 vocational schools, 11 research and application centers, and it has become an important institution in the academic world of the region.
