Şırnak Üniversitesi is a public university. It is considered one of the modern universities that was established in the Republic of Turkey in the year 2008. The university bears the same name as the city in which it is located and is close to the Iraqi border. What distinguishes the university is its acceptance of large numbers of international students every year, which It makes it a destination for foreign students in general and Arab students in particular.
The number of Şırnak University students is approximately 4,074 male and female students, of whom approximately 1,145 are studying at the undergraduate level and the rest of the students are studying at the postgraduate level and institutes.
