Necmettin Erbakan University is one of the public public universities located in Konya. It was established on July 14, 2010, and Professor Muzaffar Shukr was appointed as the university’s president. The university building consists of three different partitions with an area of 27 thousand square meters, and on April 11 - April 2012, the name of the university was changed to Necmettin Arikan University, in reference to the Turkish politician who served as prime minister in the Republic of Turkey from 1996-1997
