Kateb Chalabi University is the fourth public university in the city of Izmir. It was established on December 10, 2010. The university was named after the geographer and Ottoman writer Kateb Chalabi. .
The university’s president is Prof. Dr. Aleb Akan and his assistants, Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Kocabas, Prof. Dr. Turan Gökçe and Prof. Safwat Kose, and the university aims to become a leading university in the production, use and sharing of knowledge and education.
