One of the public universities that was established in 1992 in the city of Kocatape with 21 universities inside Turkey, however, the university's roots go back to 1974 when it was opened as a school of economic and commercial sciences at that time. From that day to the present day, the university has developed until it includes: 13 colleges, 5 institutes for postgraduate studies, 4 technical colleges, and 14 vocational schools.
